On Saturday, November 30th University of Regina student Alyssa Shaver will be cutting 10 inches of her hair to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Association that will go towards cancer research, cancer prevention and awareness programs, as well as financial support for those who are living with cancer and their families.

“I thought that raising awareness about hair donations would be a great way to get friends, family and fellow students involved,” said the first year nursing student.

The hair that Shaver donates will to be made into a wig through Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program.  It takes 8 to 10 hair donations to make one wig.
