University of Regina celebrates 18 new Accounting Fellowship students

A banquet is being held tonight to honour 18 students at the Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina, who are the newest members of the Accounting Fellowship Program.

This program recognizes the academic accomplishments of accounting students. Membership in the Accounting Fellowship Program is recognized by the accounting community as a significant accomplishment achieved only by the best accounting students. Students in the program have achieved a grade point average of 80-per-cent or more.

Each year, the new Accounting Fellowship students are welcomed at an awards banquet co-sponsored by the three professional accounting organizations - the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan, the Certified General Accountants Association of Saskatchewan, and the Society of Management Accountants of Saskatchewan. The Accounting Fellowship Program began in 1994 and now includes more than 300 members.

The 18 new students joining the Accounting Fellowship Program in 2011 are : Ashley Carter, Luke Davis, Laura Downey, Jazzel Foster, Kyle Gibson, Breanna Grill, Ingrid Guzman, Kelsey Hudym, Alisha Kozlowski, Betty Lam, Maggie (Shanshan) Liu, Roxanne Olynyk, Meagan Onstad, Travis Regent, Philip Tarr, Sara Ulmer, Joshua Wolfond and Brenda Wright.
