Camp fYrefly - Saskatchewan is an educational, social, and personal learning retreat for sexual minority and gender variant youth which includes lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified, two-spirited, intersexed, queer, questioning, and allied.

The camp focuses on building and nurturing the youth’s leadership potential and personal resiliency in an effort to help them learn how to make significant contributions to their own lives and to their schools, home/group-home environments, and communities. The camp is for those between ages of 14-24 and will be held in Lumsden, SK August 1-4.

This summer marks the 6th annual season in support of Camp fYrefly - Saskatchewan. Dr. Vianne Timmons, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Regina and Mr. Stuart Mason invite you to join them on June 24 at a fundraising event at their home in support of the camp.

Camp fYrefly was founded in 2004 as a university-community educational project by Dr. André P. Grace and Mr. Kristopher Wells, who are educators in the Faculty of Education, University of Alberta. In 2008, in partnership with the Faculty of Education, University of Regina and the College of Education, University of Saskatchewan, committees of dedicated volunteers were formed with the now-realized goal of bringing Camp fYrefly to Saskatchewan.

Tickets for the fundraising event are $50. To register your attendance click here.
