Lecturer examines issue of academic freedom

As part of the President’s Deliberation and Debate series, a public presentation featuring Concordia University professor and popular YouTube personality Dr. Gad Saad will be held at the University of Regina on Monday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Saad is outspoken critic of what he deems the stifling aspects of political correctness on university campuses. His talk will explore the forces he sees as limiting intellectual freedom in today’s classrooms and in society in general.  

Saad is Professor of Marketing and Concordia University Research Chair in Evolutionary Behavioral Sciences and Darwinian Consumption, where his research and teaching interests include evolutionary psychology, consumer behavior, and the psychology of decision making. He is a highly popular Psychology Today blogger whose posts have garnered over 4.4 million views and a YouTube sensation whose channel, THE SAAD TRUTH, has 89,000 subscribers and over 7.1 million views.
