The University of Regina marked an important first in hosting the international Prairie Summit 2010 conference on campus. The Summit brings together delegates from across Canada and the United States, as well as some from other locations around the globe to participate in meetings and lectures.

It's the first time that members of the Canadian Association of Geographers, the Canadian Remote Sensing Society, the Canadian Cartographic Association and the Canadian Geomorphology Research Group have met together. As a bonus, the number of participants has exceeded organizers' expectations.
