| dc.description.abstract | The Snow Navigator is a commissioned design for transporting a ground penetrating radar sensor which is used to survey retention ponds in winter. The unit eliminates dragging the sensor manually, and protects the operator from harsh winter conditions. The remote- controlled, continuous-track vehicle uses a gas-powered hydraulic drive system and a motorized winch retrieval system. The Snow Navigator reduces survey time and improves operator working conditions. | en_US |
