Abstract:
The Fly Ash Pneumatic Cleaner removes fly ash from the plates and electrodes of an electrostatic precipitator which collects fly ash particles produced during the combustion of coal at SaskPower Boundary Dam in Estevan, SK. A system of air knives is lowered into the precipitator using a motorized hose winch. This reduces the manual labour and time required to clean the precipitator.
