Abstract

Officials from the 26 North American Regions that will compete in the 2014 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) in Regina will visit the University of Regina campus on Wednesday, April 3. These officials are in Regina to attend the first “Chef de Mission” meeting (M1) for the Games scheduled for July 20-27, 2014. The M1 meeting is intended to provide an overview of the organizational structure and facilities that will be utilized for the Games. Approximately 5000 athletes will compete in 15 sports including archery, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, boxing, box lacrosse, canoe/kayak, golf, rifle shooting, soccer, softball, swimming, volleyball and wrestling.
