Canadians with physical disabilities are often limited from fully participating in society. They are often restricted from the workforce, sports and recreation, and communities at large. Research is being conducted into improving the quality and quantity of community participation among Canadians with physical disabilities. More than 50 partners – including community-based service groups, government organizations, non-profits, national charities and university researchers – are committed to developing and implementing evidence-based tools and services to help Canadians with disabilities achieve full community participation.
