The Department of Psychology’s Dr. Thomas Hadjistavropoulos, known by his peers as a strong leader both in the classroom and in the lives of his students, has received an award from the University of Regina Alumni Association for his outstanding support of graduate students. In April 2015, Hadjistavropoulos was awarded the Excellence Award for Graduate Research Mentorship. During Hadjistavropoulos’ time at the University of Regina, he has helped to support over 100 students through his grants, facilitating their academic pursuits. In addition, his students have had opportunities to publish peer-reviewed articles, chapters and abstracts together with their academic mentor. Such publications have been essential to these students’ academic success by helping them to establish a publication track record and pursue exciting avenues of research.
