Abstract

The Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina is helping people who have recently left the Canadian Armed Forces and want to start a business. “These military members will be ready to start their second careers,” explains Brian Schumacher, Associate Dean of the Paul J. Hill School of Business and the person responsible for the training component of the program. “At the University of Regina, we are proud to support military members’ transitions and offer this group of 20 participants the skills and confidence they need to succeed in business.” The intense seven-day boot camp for people from across Canada provides a foundation for starting a business. It gives participants access to expert advice from faculty members of the Paul J. Hill School of Business, as well as one-on-one student mentoring.
