Abstract

The Faculty of Fine Arts Theatre Department is presenting Trenna Keating with its Distinguished Alumni Award at a ceremony on November 7, 2015. “I was surprised when I heard that I would receive this recognition, and I’m really excited to be coming to Regina and to see my friends and former professors,” says Keating. “A number of friends and people I know have received this award and I’m honoured to be included in such a talented group.” Keating, who graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting in 2000, played the snarky but lovable Doc Yewll on the Syfy channel’s Defiance for three seasons. Some of her other film and TV roles include appearances in A Dog Named Christmas, Combat Hospital, Corner Gas, Just Friends and Renegade Press.
