2012-13 Public Consultation Lecture Series

The Public Consultation Lecture Series will explore the growing expectation that public opinion be woven into policy formulation. What constitutes sound methods of consultation for the purposes of modern governance? How do the tools of the Internet combine with traditional modes of participation to channel policy ideas and determine whose voices are deemed legitimate? Under the theme of Public Consultation, this series seeks to provide answers to questions like these in the context of modern democratic expectations and active citizenry.
