If you're taking classes virtually at the University of Regina this semester, here are some easy things you can do to make your life easier throughout your remote learning experience.
- Get involved
While you may not be on campus full time, there's still plenty of clubs and activities that allow you to participate virtually. Stay connected to the U of R and your peers by joining a URSU Campus Group or taking a virtual UR Fit class.

2. Get organized (and stay organized)
Read your course outline (twice!), send an e-mail to your professor introducing yourself, put all your due dates in your calendar, and block time every day for each of your classes. Try your best to mimic the structure of an in-person class to make sure you'll never fall behind.
3. Think about your workspaceYour physical environment can have a major effect on your productivity and overall mood. If you're learning from home, try to create a dedicated space for school work only. Sit in a well-lit area (by a window is best), make sure you have a proper chair (your spine will thank you), get some plants (fake plants work too), and don't forget to step away once in a while to stretch your legs!

7. Ask for help
If you're stuck in a rut or feeling overwhelmed by your assignments, the best (and easiest) thing you can do is talk to your professor. Profs and instructors are here to help you succeed and if there are obstacles in your way, they will do everything they can to help you overcome them. Another great resource is the U of R's Student Success Centre, whose purpose is to help students achieve their university, professional development, and life goals.
