The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) is holding its annual meeting, CSEP 2012 Field of Dreams, in Regina October 10-13. It’s the first time the meeting will be held in Regina, and it has strong ties to the University of Regina. The University is the host, and Darren Candow, Associate Professor, Faculty of Kinesiology & Health Studies at the University of Regina is the chair of the event.

“This is a huge opportunity for the University of Regina, and the City of Regina,” said Candow. “We will be playing host to leading experts from around the world. Everyone is talking about exercise playing a vital role in illness prevention, and that’s exactly what this conference is about.”

The Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology is the principal body for physical activity, health and fitness research and personal training in Canada. It fosters the generation, growth, synthesis, transfer and application of the highest quality research, education and training related to exercise physiology and science.
