This May marked another successful Science Rendezvous event at the University of Regina.

Hosted by the Faculty of Science and with the participation of EYES, Science Rendezvous 2013 was the third time families were able to come to our campus and experience science first hand. Over a thousand participants of all ages attended. Events included the ever popular Magic Chemistry Show, DNA Isolation Challenge, Research Lab Tours, Bats in the Prairie, Making Ice-cream, Walking on Water, and Bottle Rockets. This year also provided an opportunity to show off our new Jet Bike and Air Cart, both of which roared across campus.

A further highlight was the completion of our second annual High School Science Quiz Competition. With six teams competing from six different Regina high schools, the competition was a hit.  Congratulations go out to the students from the Regina Huda School, our 2013 Champions, and all of those who participated.

With the success of Science Rendezvous 2013 the Faculty of Science prepares for the next event with new activities and a new wave of future scientists. See you next time!
