Tentative agreement reached
The University of Regina and the University of Regina Faculty Association Administrative, Professional and Technical (APT) bargaining unit are pleased to announce that they reached a tentative collective agreement at 10:30 this morning. Both chief negotiators expressed their relief that a challenging round of bargaining had been successfully concluded.

"We are excited to be able to bring this agreement to our members. Their support through a lengthy bargaining process has been essential and we believe the tentative agreement addresses their priorities and concerns," said URFA Chair Dorothy Lane.

"The University is very pleased with this outcome," said Acting President Allan Cahoon. "We believe it meets the needs of our employees, is good for the University and provides for ongoing positive relationships."

Both sides now begin the process leading to ratification of the agreement. This is expected to be concluded within the next few weeks. Details of the tentative agreement will be released after ratification.
