Newly retired or just looking for something different this fall? It’s never too late to go back to school. The Seniors Education Centre (SEC) at the University of Regina has a variety of exciting programs and learning opportunities for seniors, as well as interesting volunteer opportunities for members of the public.

An open house will be held on Fri., Sept. 8 between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the SEC, located on College Avenue and Cornwall Street, next to Darke Hall. Tours and displays will be available throughout the day and there will be a presentation for new members at 11 a.m. The SEC offers free help for seniors who want to improve their English literacy skills, offering literacy tutors and English as a Second Language conversation partners. An orientation session for volunteers and seniors interested in participating in these literacy programs will be held at 1:30 p.m.
