Saskatchewan Elders will share their experiences and beliefs about death and dying in the Aboriginal world through a DVD
presentation on Thurs., Nov. 23 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Regina and District Food Bank’s Adult Centre for
Employment and Readiness Training (425 Winnipeg St.) Experience the comforting words sent to Aboriginal families to help
with the healing process as they “complete the circle” and journey through the end of life experiences. The
lecture is presented by the research team of Mary Hampton, Carrie Bourassa, Kim McNabb, Deb Wizniak, Angelina Baydala and
Roxanne Boekelder of the University of Regina and First Nations University of Canada.
This presentation is part of the U of R Centre for Continuing Education’s Nourishing Thoughts at the Food Bank
lecture series. Lunch is provided to all participants. Please feel free to bring a non-perishable food item for donation.
