High school students learn about university life
The University of Regina will host 300 high school students at UR Connected! on Wednesday March 12.

UR Connected!, the University's annual “open house,” will give Grade 10 and 11 students an opportunity to explore career choices and educational opportunities available at the U of R campus, as well as connect with other students from across Saskatchewan.

Students, along with their parents and high school counsellors, can attend a session on career planning and breakout sessions to learn about U of R degrees and career options. Speakers from a wide range of careers, including a scientist at the Saskatchewan Disease Control Laboratory, a chartered accountant, an artistic director at Brown Communications, and a Kinesiology & Health Studies PhD student, will give short talks about their careers.

Attendees will have an opportunity to tour the campus. Students will also have a chance to win prizes and take part in a social with live music, while their parents and counsellors enjoy refreshments and mingling at a reception in the new Lab Building Addition.

Registration for this event is mandatory and can be completed online at There is no registration deadline; however registrations will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis.
