Student-organized business networking event to take place at U of R
On March 25, more than 100 students and approximately 100 members of Regina’s business community are expected to attend the 2nd Annual URBusiness Showcase, a student-organized networking event that connects students from the University of Regina’s Paul J. Hill School of Business with potential employers in the community.

“The URBusiness Showcase provides students from the Paul J. Hill School of Business with an opportunity to meet potential employers and network with members of Regina’s business community,” says the U of R’s Dean of Business Administration, Anne Lavack. “At the same time, employers have the chance to see the benefits that can come from hiring our talented, hardworking and enthusiastic students.”

A team of about 20 students from the Paul J. Hill School of
Business worked to help organize the event.

“It’s been a lot of planning and hard work but it will all pay off,” says Brittany Hoffman, the URBusiness Showcase Chair. “The goal is to provide a relaxed atmosphere where the Paul J. Hill School of Business students can talk and make relationships with established leaders within the business community – something that can give a good competitive advantage in today’s job market.”

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan (ICAS) is the main sponsor of the URBusiness Showcase. Other sponsors of the event include SaskTel, the Public Service Commission, Crown Investments Corporation, Innovation Place and the Information Technology Office.

The URBusiness Showcase will be held on Tuesday, March 25 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. in the Terrace Building Rotunda,
10 Research Drive.
