University of Regina welcomes new Dean of Business Administration

The University of Regina is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Anne Lavack to the position of Dean, Faculty of Business Administration. 

Lavack, who holds a doctorate degree in Marketing from the University of British Columbia, has served the University of Regina in a variety of capacities since 2001, including Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Director of the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, as well as a respected professor in the classroom. 

"In her role as Acting Dean, Dr. Lavack has provided exceptional leadership for the Paul J. Hill School of Business and the Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business, both housed in the Faculty of Business Administration," says Dr. Gary Boire, Vice-President (Academic) at the University of Regina. "Her commitment to fostering student leadership and student success is evident in all that she does. I look forward to the work she does alongside students and staff to raise the profile of the Faculty in our community."

Lavack is a member of the board of directors for the Regina and District Chamber of Commerce and also serves on the Growth Strategy Task Force for the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. She is also Vice-Chair of the board of directors of SGI, as well as Vice-Chair of the board of directors of the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse.  She conducts academic research in the area of social marketing and has held numerous research grants during her academic career, including funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

Her appointment to Dean, Faculty of Business Administration is effective immediately.
