University of Regina welcomes high school students at UR Connected!

The University of Regina and its federated colleges will play host to more than 700 Grade 12 students from across the prairies at a campus visit program called UR Connected! on October 21 and 22.

This is the sixth annual UR Connected! event, in which students get to experience a full day the U of R.  They will meet professors, fellow students, and experience the whole campus. They can explore the many degree options at the U of R, learn more about the various faculties and federated colleges, take in informative seminars and participate in fun activities. There will be a free lunch, refreshments and plenty of prizes. Six $500 UR Connected! scholarships will be awarded and students will be entered to win their first year of tuition and books.

New this year is an optional university success workshop, presented by the Student Development Centre. This workshop will help students with skills to succeed both in their final year of high school and in their transition to university.

UR Connected! also includes special sessions for parents and high school counselors. During the past five years 5,000 students and their families have visited the U of R at UR Connected!

Because space is limited, registration is mandatory and can be completed online at http://www.urconnected.ca/
