Speakers announced for the third annual Inspiring Leadership Forum

The University of Regina released details of its third annual Inspiring Leadership Forum scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Queensbury Convention Centre at Evraz Place in Regina.

"I'm proud that the University is once again supporting this exciting event," says University of Regina President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vianne Timmons, who was recently named one of Canada's top 100 most powerful women by the Women's Executive Network. "This forum will provide the resources and inspiration for people from across Saskatchewan and beyond our borders to reach their full leadership potential as they work to make the world a better place for all of us."

The presentations from the three internationally-renowned speakers will provide insights into how women can embrace the conference's theme - Inspiring  Leadership, Influencing the World - in their lives:

  • Roberta L. Jamieson, a First Nations Leader/Conflict Resolution expert and CEO/President of the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation.
  • Dr. Samantha Nutt, Founder & Executive Director of War Child Canada, as well as staff physician at the Women's College Hospital in Toronto.
  • Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, author of The Dressmaker of Khair Khana and Contributing Editor-at-Large for Newsweek Magazine and The Daily Beast.

As in previous years, conference attendees will be able to participate in a panel discussion with some of Saskatchewan's top leaders, emceed by Kellie Garrett, Senior Vice-President of Strategy, Knowledge and Reputation with Farm Credit Canada.
