Ben Mulroney to emcee second annual President's Gala

Canadian celebrity Ben Mulroney will be the Master of Ceremonies at the University of Regina’s second annual President’s Gala taking place on November 3 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel Saskatchewan.

Montreal-born Mulroney is anchor of the popular CTV entertainment news show, ETALK. A respected journalist, he is regarded as an expert in his industry and regularly provides red-carpet coverage of high profile events such as the Oscars, Golden Globes, and Juno awards.

The event includes a performance by the True Jive Pluckers featuring Ed Minevich on violin, Jack Semple on guitar, and Stephen McLellan on bass. These Saskatchewan-based talents have performed for and with high profile individuals – from Queen Elizabeth to Anne Murray to k.d. lang.

The event also features gourmet food and cocktails and a silent auction of over 50 items that include a private tour of the vault at Regina’s MacKenzie Art Gallery, a trip to Chicago for shopping and an evening of stargazing with an astronomer at the University of Regina’s observatory.
