University of Regina faculty, staff, members of the Board of Governors, Senate, Crown Trustees and retirees – otherwise known as the University family – have contributed more than $815,000 in support of the University as part of Building Knowledge – The College Avenue Campus Renewal Project.

“Our University family is a diverse group of people, but we all have one thing in common – we love this University,” said University of Regina President and Vice-Chancellor, Vianne Timmons. “Everyone who has contributed to the Family Campaign – and done so at considerable personal sacrifice, I might add – has demonstrated their commitment to the education we provide to our students, and set a strong example for others as we move forward with the College Avenue campus revitalization.”

Contributions will support various areas of the University such as equipment needs, renovation projects and student aid as well as the revitalization of College Avenue campus, the University of Regina’s number one capital fundraising priority.

“We have great respect for the history of College Avenue campus and the support from our University family shows that this is a project that we believe in,” said Paul McLellan, Chair of the University of Regina’s Board of Governors. “It is a project that will provide incredible opportunities to our students and our community,” he added.

The revitalization of College Avenue campus will transform it into a vibrant, accessible centre of learning, strengthening the University of Regina’s connection to the community and further contributing to the education of the next century of learners and leaders.
