Want to check out your class schedule and grades from your mobile? It’s now possible on the University’s new official app for students. The free app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play. As the official app for students, it has some unique features including class schedule and grade access, as well as push notifications from the University’s Emergency Notification System (ENS). Emergency notifications can include things such as tornado warnings or chemical spills.

Students – as well as faculty and staff – are encouraged to download the app to their phones and sign in so that they can receive emergency notices as part of the broader campus emergency notification system. Students can sign in using their nine-digit student ID number and six-digit PIN. Faculty and staff can sign in using their nine-digit employee ID number and six-digit PIN.

It’s important to stay signed in to help ensure emergency notifications continue to be sent to your device.

The app – which is available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch as well as Android smartphones and tablets – was developed with students’ needs in mind. In addition to class schedules, grades, and emergency notifications, students will find several features to help them connect to student services and resources.

“The University’s official app for students is an important part of our commitment to student success and to providing a safe environment for everyone working, studying and living on campus. I encourage students as well as faculty and staff to download the app and stay signed in to receive emergency notifications,” says President and Vice-Chancellor Vianne Timmons.

App Functions

The student app features four content sections offering mobile access to several student services and resources:

Contact – Quickly access emergency phone numbers such as Campus Security, and other important numbers along with e-mail and map links for academic advising listed by faculty and college; safety, health and security resources such as the 24-hour Walk Along Service; and student services such as parking, awards and financial aid, and IT support. View emergency notifications in the “Notifications” section. Provide feedback (and report technical or student data issues) or link to the full U of R site (non-mobile).

Academics – Look here for links to your class schedule and grades (sign in required); and to connect to the Bookstore, Library, UR Courses and Webmail.

Campus Life – This is a list of helpful resources to enrich your life on campus. Find links to bus information, weather, career services, events, social media, food services, maps, and news.

Actions - A quick connection to the app homepage, sign in/sign out page, U of R address, switchboard and privacy policy information.

The official app for students was jointly developed by External Relations and Information Services at the University of Regina.
