The Centre for Continuing Education is responsible for fulfilling the University of Regina's commitment to provide adult and continuing education programs which meet the changing learning needs of the people of Saskatchewan.
In addition to offering programs and courses designed to reduce barriers to education, Continuing Education seeks to extend the resources of the University to individuals and communities. Examples can be found in distance learning courses offered throughout the Province, High School Accelerated programs offering University of Regina credit courses on-site at local high schools, the annual Gerontology Institute, public lectures established at the Regina and District Food Bank, performances by Conservatory students at local elementary schools, Exploring Retirement workshops offered in the workplace, and exchange programs with universities in India, Mexico, China and Japan.
These and many more programs provide an opportunity for non-traditional students to access the University of Regina and for the University of Regina to move into the community.
