Task Force on Reading and Writing

Student competence in reading and writing is a critical issue for the Faculty of Arts and the University. It has implications for student retention and success, degree completion times, teaching strategies, marking loads, and curriculum design. In accordance with Recommendation A8 of We Who Serve, the faculty plan ratified in December 2003 by Faculty Council, this Dean’s Task Force on Reading and Writing was created.
