The University of Regina Cheer Team won first place in its division at the Canadian National University Cheerleading Championships, which took place in Brampton, Ontario over the weekend. The team, made up of 27 athletes, won in the Small Coed Division. The University of Regina was competing against the University of Montreal, University of Waterloo, Carleton, University of Saskatchewan and McMaster University.
