University of Regina film student Candy Fox is about to make her debut at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Fox is a fourth year film student who wrote, produced, and edited the short film “Backroads”. It was chosen by TIFF as one of the top student films in Canada. “I was shocked,” says Fox, as she reflected upon hearing the news. “And then I was just really proud. It reaffirmed about what I was doing as a filmmaker and I was happy because the story is really important I feel.”
