Abstract:
Kelly Wiebe is being recognized for his hard work in athletics. The University of Regina Engineering graduate has been nominated as Sask Sport’s Male Athlete of the Year. “I am extremely honoured and humbled by the nomination,” says Wiebe who is from Swift Current and is now in Australia training for some major track competitions including the World Cross Country Championships in China. “The best part about training at the U of R was the camaraderie within the track and field team and within the athletics department as a whole. My coaches always supported me. My teammates at the U of R were second to none. Their passion, drive, and determination really pushed me to get the most out of myself.”
