Abstract

For the second year in a row, the University of Regina’s Faculty of Nursing is hosting the Canadian Doctoral Nursing Network Conference. And this year’s conference is attracting international attention. There are 26 doctoral students registered, and four of them are from the United States, including Arizona, New York, Rhode Island and Tennessee. Canadian students are from British Columbia through Quebec. The idea of a national networking conference for PhD students who are registered nurses was established by the Dean's Office in the Faculty of Nursing. “We wanted to create an event for PhD students. This conference provides a space within which doctoral nursing students can present their proposed research or their completed dissertation projects. In addition, students attend workshops about topics of interest,” explains the Dean of Nursing, Dr. david Gregory.
