dc.description.abstract | The University of Regina is creating a cohesive academic unit for the delivery of university French language education and services. President Vianne Timmons made the official announcement of the creation of La Cité universitaire francophone at a ceremony attended by representatives of the government, the University and the Fransaskois community. The new entity combines the existing strengths of the Institut français and Department of French at the University of Regina. “It builds on our traditions – but marks the beginning of a new era of French post-secondary education in Saskatchewan,” President Timmons told the assembled guests. | |
