Abstract

Gamma, Weibull and Generalized Exponential distribution have been widely used in analyzing lifetime data in various aspect of professions. Model specifi- cation plays an importance role in this regard. The liability theorem used in analyzing data has a significant impact on the submission of statistical inference. The effect of model misspecification can be quite severe. Hence, this triggered the need to discriminate liability models for correct model specification in lifetime analysis. This thesis investigates the consistency of statistical test on sample data to be taken from one of the distributions of Reliability Theory. The test is based on the ratio of score statistics and the behavior of the test statistic as well studied.
