Feature Story: Fall Open House a chance for prospective students to Go Far, Together with the U of R

Abstract

Nervous about the transition from high school to university, Sundus Zia attended the Fall Open House at the University of Regina in 2018. "Just getting prepared beforehand helps a lot with managing some of that stress,"said Zia, a computer science student now in her final year of her undergraduate degree. Zia said she was leaning towards attending the U of R and the open house cemented the decision for her. She applied that day on the spot. "The main thing I really like is that it's not too big,"Zia said. "The fact that it's a little bit on the smaller size compared to other universities is seen as a good point because you get to make lots of friends, you see people regularly."
