There’s help for people dealing with stress and anxiety.
The University of Regina Psychology Training Clinic is holding a Wellbeing Workshop, Sept. 26, and it is open to the public.
The Workshop will be run by Dale Dirkse and Amy Hampton who are both Doctoral students in clinical psychology. They’ll work under the supervision of Dr. Heather Hadjistavropoulos, Professor of Psychology.
“Participants will learn effective strategies for identifying and challenging anxious thoughts as well as behaviours that are contributing to anxiety,” says Dr. Hadjistavropoulos.
“Ultimately, we hope that participants will gain a better understanding of anxiety and strategies for managing anxiety.”
The workshop will cover topics such as getting to the root of your anxiety, developing a balanced outlook on life and effective self-care.
“Past participants have found this one-day workshop an efficient way to begin the process of managing anxiety in a new way,” says Dr. Hadjistavropoulos.
